Trick or Treat on Main & Scarecrow Row

Scarecrow Row

Fall events in Alachua are a special time of year.  The changing season ushers in more than cooler weather.  The Alachua Chamber hosts Scarecrow Row and Trick-or-Treat on Main, which serve as two staple events in the community.

Main Street serves as the perfect backdrop for Scarecrow Row, which takes place every October.  Businesses and community organizations carefully craft themed scarecrows to place along Alachua’s Main Street.  The displays span from the single scarecrow to more elaborate scenes that transport visitors to another world.  If you would like to participate in Scarecrow Row, contact the Alachua Chamber to reserve your spot.

Trick-or-Treat on Main

Halloween Night - Main Street in Alachua transforms to a pedestrian-only corridor for community children to have a safe environment to join in on the age-old tradition of trick-or-treating.  Local businesses and organizations line the beautiful, winding roadway with thousands of pieces of candy to hand out as families stroll from one to the next.  If you would like to register to give candy out on behalf of your business or organization, contact the Alachua Chamber for placement.
